Refreshing news for the owners of larger motorhomes or caravans: with the CA2500, the unit can be supplied in two optional versions: for stationary air conditioning (230 volts AC) as well as for mobile and stationary air conditioning (12 volts DC/230 volts AC).

Needless to say, the newcomers have the same qualities as their smaller counterparts: extraordinary performance and purpose-designed easy-start electronics.

On top of that, they provide such pleasant extras as a remote control and the additional fresh air option.

Perfect service: the remote control Theres no need to leave your seat just to operate the air conditioner. You can do this easily from a distance by means of the infrared remote control. Additional convenience is provided by the timer: simply set the desired operating parameters and let the Dometic unit do all the rest. Needless to say, you can also switch the system on or off without the remote controller.

Take a breath: optimum air circulation in the vehicle A sophisticated system consisting of direct and indirect air jets enables individual regulation of the air flow within the motorhome or caravan. The direct air jets flow via a large air grille comprising several nozzles, which can be adjusted individually in various directions. When the middle air nozzles are closed, the air can exit through the side nozzles. These nozzles can be closed and even turned at an angle of approx. 120 degrees.  

Fresh air mode: lots of comfort, little energy  
Cooling or fresh air operation? The Dometic CA2500 is the only camper air conditioner available in the market to offer this pleasant and battery-friendly option. The Aditional  fresh air function should be used whenever the temperature outside is lower than the temperature inside the vehicle  at night, for instance, or at intensive sun radiation in spring or autumn. This is how you get a pleasant climate inside your vehicle without putting a noticeable strain on your battery. The power consumption in the fresh air mode is lower than 6 amps in 12-volt mode.
The optional cooling/fresh air operation is regulated by an integrated valve control. If the valve position is on cooling the air inside the vehicle continuously flows through the air conditioner and cools down. If you switch over to fresh air, surrounding air is drawn into the vehicle, while accumulated heat is blown out at a very low energy consumption. This is because the air conditioner is switched off, only the interior fan is in operation.
Treat yourself to fresh air whenever and however you want  while driving or at night without opening a window, manually or with the pre-set remote controller. Equipped with special fans and separately encapsulated components, Dometic air conditioners are always very silent in operation.

  
Automatic operation of the interior blower  
Yet another comfortable extra: the two-stage interior blower can be activated either manually or automatically. In the auto mode, the blower will initially run at full speed when you switch on the air conditioner. The system will then automatically switch over to the lower speed before the pre-set temperature has been reached. If the lower speed is not sufficient to maintain the pre-set temperature, the system will switch back to full speed.

In the auto mode, the system will decide automatically whether it has to activate the heating or cooling system to reach the desired interior temperature. The decision depends on the pre-set temperature and the real-time temperature in the vehicle.
